Griffin Tavern is a casual, family dining restaurant with three dining rooms and wonderful outdoor seating. Offering home-style cooking, fish-n-chips, Griffin Wings, hamburgers, etc., and of course a children's menu. They offer a full bar with seven beers on tap (Guinness, Boddingtons, New Castle, Harp, Stella, Amstel Lite and Star Hill Pale Ale) and two TV's to catch all of the sporting events or news you'd like. The Flint Hill Public House is located amid the rolling foothills of Virginia’s Blue Ridge mountains in bucolic Rappahannock County, Virginia. The restaurant occupies a renovated turn of the century (1903) school building and features three indoor dining rooms and an outdoor patio dining area.

A Delaware Indian word meaning "meeting of the waters", Lackawanna is nestled on two acres of land between the North and South Fork of the Shenandoah River. Built in 1869 by Dorastus Cone who moved to Front Royal soon after the Civil War. This home is a pristine example of Italianate architecture popular during the late 1800s. The rooms are spacious and elegant with eleven-foot ceilings. Linden Vineyards is a 5,000 case winery and vineyard situated on the Virginia Blue Ridge. Linden Vineyards produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Vidal and Seyval. Our first vintage was 1987 and the first release and opening of the winery was 1988.

Farfelu Vineyards is the first winery licensed in Virginia post Prohibition. It was established in 1967 by former naval fighter pilot Chuck Raney. One of the first to plant grapes in Virginia, Chuck devoted years to planting his vineyard and making unique hand-crafted wines.

Ashcroft is a family owned and operated Christmas tree farm offering top quality pine, spruce and fir trees at reasonable prices. You choose at your leisure. We will cut, haul and load your tree (or arrange delivery for a modest fee). Fresh evergreen wreaths and white pine roping are made on the farm. Some small potted and balled and burlapped trees are also available.

Come see the historic buildings, visit the many farm animals, and pick some of Virginia's finest fruit. Stop by the "Harvest House" where they have fresh cider, honey, jams, jellies, salsas, hot sauces, crafts, pottery, cookbooks, fresh baked goods and more. Also visit the "Piedmont Artisan Crafts Section " where they have crafts from local artisans.

A working farm owned and operated by the same family for over 100 years and recognized by the state of Virginia as a "Century Farm". Located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Winchester, Virginia. You can visiting the farm in the fall to see a real working farm at harvest time.

Hartland Orchard takes pride in offering you the freshest, juiciest fruit possible. During the fruit season, you can stop by to purchase fruit that has already been picked; or spend a few hours in a beautiful country setting picking your own fruit. Containers and bags will be provided for you upon entering the orchard. Specializing in several varieties of cherries, apples, peaches, and pumpkins. And we offer homemade cider and Hartland honey!

Shenandoah National Park welcomes visitors in all seasons. The scenery, the natural and historic objects, and the wildlife are preserved and protected, providing a variety of experiences throughout the year. Most facilities and services are open spring through fall.

No matter whether you’re a novice hiker or veteran ridgerunner, the Appalachian Trail offers unparalleled opportunities to explore, experience and connect with nature. From the Highlands of Roan in Tennessee to the strenuous trek up Mt. Katahdin in Maine, there’s a hike available for every level of experience.

The Lee Ranger District is the national forest lands closest to Washington, D.C. We are located in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, between Front Royal and Harrisonburg, with acreage that extends into West Virginia. Access to the forest is easy from I-81, I-66, VA 55, US 211, and US 340.

The park is 1,604 acres with 5.6 miles of river frontage along the south fork of the Shenandoah River. The rolling, mountainous land features steep slopes and is mostly wooded. In addition to meandering river frontage, the park offers scenic vistas overlooking Massanutten Mountain to the west and Shenandoah National Park to the east.

Enjoy a guided llama hike into the Shenandoah Valley of northern Virginia. Located just 1 ½ hours west of Washington, DC, Twin Creeks Llamas offers half-day hikes into the Blue Ridge Mountains with our llamas carrying a delicious picnic lunch.
